The Wild Country Wild Oval Screwgate is a symmetrical oval locking carabiner built for rigging, hauling and progress-capture work. Its oval profile loads evenly and keeps attached devices centred, making it a natural partner for ascenders, pulleys and rappel devices.
Optimised for use with Wild Country’s Ropeman ascenders (Ropeman 1, 2 and 4), its wide, smooth-radiused cross-section gives excellent rope glide and effective clamping while resisting wear, and the almost-full section keeps the rope running cleanly. The oval body even lets the Ropeman 4 rotate a full 360° – ideal when using clamps on positioning lanyards.
A secure screw-gate closure features a red ring alert indicator so you can see at a glance if the gate is left open, while the snag-free Keylock nose keeps clipping smooth. Triple-certified to EN 12275, EN 362 and UIAA 121, the hot-forged 7075 aluminium body is equally at home on the crag and at work at height.
