The Petzl ASAP Kit is a pre-assembled, ready-to-use fall-arrest system for anyone working or moving on a rope. Everything you need arrives in one package – the ASAP mobile fall arrester, an energy absorber and two OK TRIACT-LOCK carabiners – so you can rig up and get to work with confidence.
At the heart of the kit is the ASAP mobile fall arrester, which follows you up or down the rope without any manual handling and locks automatically if you fall or descend too quickly – even if you instinctively grab it. It runs on any 10–13 mm rope and its toothed wheel bites reliably across a range of rope conditions.
The kit comes in three versions so you can match it to the job: with the ASAP’SORBER 20 or ASAP’SORBER 40 energy absorber for single-person use up to 140 kg, or with the ASAP’SORBER AXESS absorber, which also covers two-person rescue loads up to 250 kg. The two supplied OK TRIACT-LOCK carabiners with CAPTIV positioning bar keep everything correctly oriented.
Compact, easy to install at any point on the rope and quick to remove, it is equally at home on vertical, horizontal or angled lines – a dependable choice for rope access, work at height and rescue.
