The Wild Country Ropeman 4 is the latest evolution of the original Ropeman – a compact, lightweight rope clamp ascender that earns a permanent place on your harness. It covers a huge range of technical jobs, from ascending and self-belay to positioning-lanyard adjustment and emergency or self-rescue.
An improved grooved side-plate closure locks directly into the cylinder, preventing the side plate from opening laterally while ascending and stopping the rope jamming between plate and cam – making it safer and more efficient than comparable devices. Made from lightweight, strong aluminium alloy with a high-strength stainless steel axle, it handles ropes from 8–13mm and works with flat and tubular webbing slings too.
The ample cylinder hole lets the device rotate fully around the carabiner (it’s compatible with HMS and oval carabiners), and the strong stainless steel wire is sheathed in durable plastic for safe, easy handling. An essential piece of kit for all your vertical adventures.
